Adds and Stuff

Wednesday, October 27, 2004
Added "Want You More!!" by Duran Duran. I want to make this a "Pick Hit", but it's going to take some time to program the jingle in. Hopefully I'll get to do it this weekend.

Added "She Will Be loved" by Maroon 5. This songs is the current #1 song on Live 365 - thought I'd give it some support.

My new computer dedicated to webcasting is on line. Once the programming software is installed, the PC will assume the webcasting duties from my old HP machine.

Commercials removed

Monday, October 25, 2004
In order to avoid addressing the right to broadcast commercial spots on the station, which we have none, all commercials have been removed from the station's programming. They are replaced by public service announcements.

KLA Music

Wednesday, October 20, 2004
Back in the days when I DJed at KLA, the radio station at UCLA, in 1983 I was not particular fond of the "new wave" music they were playing at the time. Fast forward 20 years later, the following songs I used to hate playing can now be heard on my station:
  • "Flavor Crystals" by Suburban Lawns
  • "Change" by Tears for Fears
  • "Feels like Heaven" by Fiction Factory

One of the few records I enjoyed playing back then was an advance copy then of U2's "Pride (in the Name of Love)". I still love it today.

Another "What Can You Do?" Segue Way

Thursday, October 14, 2004
Pet Shop Boys "Where the street has no name/Can't take my eyes off you" followed by...

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons "Can't take my eyes off you" followed by...

Electronic (featuring Neil Tennant of the Pet Shop Boys) "Disappointed"

I couldn't have done it better.
